Head gear worn in India are Pagdi or paag, Saafa,Topi,Dastar,Dulband and so on.These were traditionally worn as a person's self respect.The turbans are worn by almost all region hindu ,muslim ,sikh etc. so it can be a common cord between all these relegions.

The most commonly worn headwear for Indian men has been a turban .A turban is a length of cloth wrapped in a specific way around the top of the head.The type of fabric and wrapping technique indicate the wearer's social status,profession etc.Turbans are also worn by women in some cultures such as the nomadic  Kurds from Syria,Iraq and Turkey.Bisht

In rajasthan turban is very popular throughout.Pagdi or Paag is worn in Udaipur region whereas ,the Leheriya or wave pattern turban is worn especially during monsoon season .The Chundri, Panchranga or five colour ,turban is worn for celebrations .whereas the Mothra or dot pattarn in regular occations.Diffrent coloured turban is worn at diffrent occassions like saffron colour turban for dussehra festival as it was treditionally worn while going for battlefield.Red and pink were treditionally worn during wedding .whereas dark maroon ,khaki and blue coloured turbans are worn for a condolence visit.

Now this tradition is fading off as it is not convinent for people to use it in day to day life only some communities like sikhs are practising in urban india while in rural part Turbans are still worn with pride.
