Udaipur

Udaipur is a romantic land with its rich cultural heritage from bygone ages the place inhabited by people of Bhil and Garasiya tribes along with other communities dressed in typical rajasthani dress with loads of silver jewelry. people are well-built, simple and cheerful. Here, people usually prefer wearing bright colored clothes. The traditional attire of women is Ghaghra and for men, Kurta and dhoti would do. In the modern times, people prefer wearing casual dress to match the contemporary fashion. The lakes ,temples ,huge forts and palaces boasts about the rich legacy of the city.


With Mewari as the primary dialect hindi, english and rajasthani are also common .The vibrant and dynamic dances adds sparkle to the romance ,Bhavai,ghoomar,kachhi ghodi,kalbeliya and terahtaali are the usual dance forms still dance of Daandi Gair is associated with mewar and is performed during falgun all over.Gavri is the famous folk dance drama, which is performed by 'Bhil tribe' here .The typical musical instuments bring solace with its echos here are Morchang,Naad,Tanpura and sarangi.


Udaipur cuisine comprises vegetarian dishes as the place is highly dominated by Jainism and Vaishnavism.Food usually made from lentils and dried vegetables like ker sangari,Dal Baati Choorma,Papad Moongadi,Raabdi and desserts like Diljaani are some of the mouthwatering preparations from this part of the state.
