Dilemma : Political

After much drama through out the day Mr. Yeddyurappa surrendered at around 3;45pm at Lokayukt court and sent to judicial custody till monday .This is the same man who three months back in july walked in rain along with many of his ministers to submit his resignation as chief minister of the Karnataka state.

Former Lokayukta Santosh Hegde yesterday hit at the state government terming its decision to send his report on illegal mining back to the lokayukta for clarifications as frivolous.Hegde pointed out that the State, while referring the case to the ombudsman, had directed to inquire into the affairs of Mysore Minerals Limited and its commercial activities “to fix responsibility and initiate criminal and civil action, to look into direct or indirect political interference.”He accused the government of adopting double standards as it was trying to evade prosecution of former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa.

October 15 was a "bad day" for the party as its former chief minister Yeddyurappa was arrested in graft cases but asserted that senior party leader L K Advani's yatra would go through the state regardless. The motive of the yatra did not seem to be only anti-corruption,that the 84-year old leader  is still driven by the ambition to become Prime Minister seems to be the main factor.Modi's fast for communal harmony, was critisized too it was like the devil quoting scriptures after having presided over the worst communal pogrom in independent India."

It was ironical that Yeddyurappa was facing arrest and his party was taking out a yatra on the issue of corruption.

Justice :Social

Definition of justice is "giving to each what he or she is due." But the problem is knowing what is "due".
Well,"justice" is a set of universal principles which guide people in judging what is right and what is wrong, no matter what culture and society they live in.

Social justice is the virtue which guides us in creating those organized human interactions we call institutions. In turn, social institutions, when justly organized, provide us with access to what is good for the person, both individually and in our associations with others. Social justice also imposes on each of us a personal responsibility to work with others to design and continually perfect our institutions as tools for personal and social development.

In essence, social justice is concerned with equal justice, not just in the courts, but in all aspects of society. This concept demands that people have equal rights and opportunities; everyone, from the poorest person on the margins of society to the wealthiest deserves an even playing field.

Amitabh and Rekha.... Is he feeling guilty ?

Amitabh and Rekha acted together and the reel-life chemistry they shared was stunning. And most people believe that bond was strong in real life, too. But did they ever share a love that could have shaken his marriage? It is said that Rekha realized that there was no future in it, since Jaya would not let Amitabh go, and she would always be the ‘other woman’, a story that her own mother’s life had already lived.

Amitabh Bachchan has a nasty habit of holding onto past hurts, resentments and guilt - and to keep such feelings to himself. It is important for Amitabh Bachchan to learn to forgive and let go, as well as to express his feelings openly and directly, rather than hiding or repressing them.

Why do they avoid each other at all functions or public places?

The release of Sarkar, complety ignores her presence. Amitabh should at laest pose properly for the picture, everyone can see you are together .

In love relationships, Amitabh Bachchan wants an intellectual peer, an equal and a friend. He is attracted to people who have a certain finesse, delicacy and subtlety. Amitabh Bachchan appreciates good manners and refinement and is not happy with coarseness or bluntness in a person.Promoting beauty, the arts or entertainment can make Amitabh Bachchan very happy. Amitabh wants to contribute something positive and loving to the world at large and he wants to be recognized for his beauty, artistic gifts or loving generosity.

Susmita Dasgupta finds Amitabh Bachchan an interesting subject to study. she decodes the superstar, the subject of her PhD and a book Is there an Amitabh 'before' and 'after' ABCL?Says :" It is a matter of great speculation for me as well. I always sided with Amitabh when he denied all on Rekha. But, only recently, I saw this television footage in which Amitabh suddenly got up and moved away as Rekha came near where he was seated. This makes me believe that yes, they did have an affair. The sudden getting up and moving away was a giveaway. It was almost a pose of fleeing from Rekha... why would a man want to do that if he is not guilty of something? I believe Amitabh knew from day one that he wasn't serious about Rekha. Also, he's very, very class conscious... Rekha was perhaps an ego trip".

Sab ko sanmati de bhagwan

Eighty three years have passed. The sins have multiplied Nonviolence, truth,Brahmacharya and abolition of liquor were part of the national health and reconstruction programmes. The Mahatma's development programmes depended on his greater and broader vision of a self-sufficient healthy environment. He knew that spiritual health leads to intellectual, mental and physical health.

India discovered Ahimsa in the prehistorical past. It is not just a spiritual religious observance. India's economy, cleanliness of towns, villages, streams and atmosphere, health, food sufficiency, and protection of the natural environment depended on a lifestyle of vegetarianism. The first planned cities during the Indus Valley Harappan times. In modern cities, wastes from hospitals, butcher shops and houses are disposed of on roads, in rivers, streams and everywhere; rats, pests, bacteria multiply and diseases spread. Now a days we come across the problem with HIV-AIDS control programmes. Promoting condoms indirectly promotes lack of emotional control. Even animals do have control and mate only while they are in seasons. Man is the only animal showing unnatural sex desires. Abortions which are  killing an innocent life have become an excuse for killing female foetuses.Everyone wants free unlimited enjoyment of all physical pleasures at the cost of destroying values and humanitarian feelings. Householders had laws for controlling desires through upavas and brahmacharya during certain days and periods of life. Now we find all around violent assaults on women and property. We have forgotten how to control our desires.

Brain and neuronal channels work properly when we abstain from liquor and drugs. Responsible householders, citizens and national leaders should think of grass-roots level reasons. Psychiatric problems, depression, rape and other crimes increase when citizens have no mental or intellectual control over desires. People say Gandhiji is a misfit in today's world. Why is he considered a misfit? We want to indulge in pleasures of the senses, violence, eating flesh and drinking alcohol. Gandhiji is an obstacle to these. Personal needs should give way to national goals to grasp the value of his message and foresight, which unfortunately does not happen.

A good leader wants only the best for the entire world. Ultimately, people will recognise their folly, realise that Gandhiji was the only “fit” leader for peaceful co-existence of the world. Democracy is not just for making demands. Value-based education is essential for all strata of society for any nation. Gandhiji's bhajan music therapy controlled passions during the Freedom struggle.

Shri Karni Mata (The Rat Temple)

Karni Mata Rat Temple
Inside the courtyard of Rat Temple

Karni Mata ( करणी माता) (October 2, 1387 – March 23, 1538) was a female Hindu sage born in the Charan caste and is worshiped as the incarnation of the goddess Durga by her followers.Durind her lifetime ,She laid the foundation stone of two of the important forts in Rajputana The Mehrangarh at Jodhpur and Junagarh Fort Bikaner.
Goddess Karni is said to have lived and performed many miracles during her existence. Karni Mata was a mystic, who led a virtuous life committed to the service of the poor and the oppressed of all communities
.As per the stories, once when her youngest son drowned, Goddess Karni asked Yama (the god of death) to bring him back to life.

Lord Yama replied that he could not return her son's life. Thus, Karni Mata, being an incarnation of Goddess Durga, restored the life of her son. At this point of time, she announced that her family members would die no longer; in fact they would incarnate in the form of rats (kabas) and ultimately, these rats would come back as the members of her Charan family. In Deshnok, there are around 600 families that assert to be the descendants of Karni Mata.

The present temple dates back to the 15th century, when it was built by Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner. The striking façade of the temple is wholly built in marble. Inside the temple complex, one can see a pair of silver doors before the main shrine of the Goddess. These solid silver doors were donated by Maharaja Gaj Singh, on his visit to this temple.

The temple has around 20,000 "Kabas" that are fed, protected and worshipped. Many holes can be seen in the courtyard of this temple. In the vicinity of these holes, one can see rats engaged in different activities. The Rats can be seen here eating from huge metal bowls of milk, sweets and grains. To make the holy rats safe, wires and grills are sited over the courtyard to avoid the birds of prey and other animals.

It is regarded auspicious, if a rat (kaba) runs across one's feet. Even, a glimpse of kaba (white rat) is considered promising and fruitful. Twice a year, a festival is celebrated in the honor of Karni Mata. A grand fair is organized during this time and people come here to seek the blessings of the Goddess.
