The Indian wedding

An Indian Wedding in northern part is more a religious ritual than a social ceremony. That is why; an Indian wedding is full of several traditional rituals and cultural customs being followed from centuries. It is an elaborate, expensive and emotional event full of sacred religious rituals and customs. For Indians, wedding is a grand affair that includes participation from each and every family member, relatives and even neighbors.Indian Wedding is not only a nuptial knot between two human beings rather it is a tie between two families.

First of all, a pre-wedding announcement is done through a formal engagement ceremony which is called Sagaai ,where both the families exchange gifts and good luck charms. As like every other wedding ceremony it takes about an hour or 2, but in tradition  celebrate weddings ceremony which takes about 3 days to complete!

This tradition is an Indian wedding. So let’s get started. First of all they have to invite lots of people from around, then book some motels so that invited guest can have a good stay. And following that make arrangements for food for the guests, so hire some chefs.

The bride and groom have to be ready for the 3 day marathon so, their bodies are covered and washed with turmeric (Haldi)paste which makes their body cool and fair. The first day includes some primary rituals which have to be done prior to the wedding. It longs for about 5 to 6 hours. After that there is buffet arrangement for the guests to have a good meal.

The second day is the wedding day, this is the day full of trouble, the brides side, have to look for every single thing, which is in the hall for the groom side, that they don’t face any trouble regarding hospitality. Anybody who walked in through the entrance of the tent found a small hallway (still in the tent) which sprayed him or her with tropical scents. Inside the tent you would be greeted by lost of chair, cushions and a square stage in the centre of it all with a swing chair on it.Then after the wedding the new couple went off in a horse and carriage, and well the rest partied.

For the sake of LIKE

Friends ,while building a fan base for a blog, one of the common ways to do so is to go out and do some blog commenting, in hopes that the blog owner will make a comment on your site in return. Or when building Twitter followers, one easy way to get followers is to agree to follow those that follow you back. In the beginning, reciprocation is easy because you are working with a small group of readers, followers or friends.

when it comes to reciprocation, especially for social promotion, you have to consider your following before you share something. Sure, there may be a cool person who is always retweeting your posts and you would love to return the favor. But what if their posts do not align with the kind of content you want to share with your followers?Do you go by the code of reciprocation and share it anyway, with the possible consequence of losing followers? Or do you ignore reciprocating, with the possible consequence of losing this loyal reader and promoter of your content?

From an alternative point of view, are you only doing things in expectation of reciprocation? Are you tweeting articles that you don’t even read by “major players” in hopes that they will start retweeting your articles? Are you becoming a fan of Facebook pages that you don’t care about in hopes that those page owners will become a fan of your page?

If you are only doing things for acknowledgment, then maybe you should stop. Perhaps you should look toward receiving thank yous from your followers because you are providing them valuable information instead of links that are no value to your followers simply to reciprocate or gain acknowledgment from someone else.

Salesmen ,Leave your ego at home .

“can you imagine, while these brands are having a tough time getting customers here, the sales staff at this store tried her best not to sell me these pair of shoes.” My friend once told me ,he told the staff that he wasn’t looking for something that was on Sale. Then the staff once again urges him to try something else and not the pair that he actually liked. Finally as he was ready to walk out of the store without buying anything, the staff reluctantly offers him what was originally wanted.

Similar thing happens here as well, where a big shot wanted the brand to send her a few pieces home so that she could choose what she liked and the brand refused to do it because their “global policy did not allow them to do that.” And then there are many cases like this where attitude replaces professionalism and courtesy that is so required for retail business.Companies need to train these guys on the aspects of luxury so as to make them understand the need to please their customers. If numbers are what they are looking at, and I know that’s what they are looking at, they need to get their acts together and they ought to do that pretty fast.

Shutting shops are black marks on the brands for sure and the funny thing is that they are shutting not because their products are bad. It is because of inefficient people running their brands and below average sales staff with hardly any knowledge of the product manning sales counters. Add to that their ego that they forget to leave behind while coming to work.

Save while you surf

Friends, do you know that using laptops and desktop computers have a lot of diference in terms of energy comsumption ?
According to a rough calculation your laptop's consumption might be "50w x 10 hours a day x 365 days = 182.5 kilowatts ;whereas a desktop's energy or power consumption may be "300s x 10 hours a day x 365 = 1095 kilowatts".

There is a huge difference as you can see and in terms of carbon emissions, the savings by using a laptop are  over half a ton.Switching from a desktop machine to a notebook is a great way to save electricity. However, even with a desktop system there's a lot you can do to green your computer use.

When you're not using your computer for extended periods, switch your computer off at the wall to avoid  power load consumption. Ensure while using your computer, only have your screen as bright as you need it - unneccesarily bright screens will use additional electricity. your power saving/management options are enabled and properly configured. For a screen saver, use a blank (black) screen as animated screen savers are energy suckers. So friends by using these small tips we can contribute to make the enviornment green and clean .
