WHAT ...... SOCIAL NETWORKING....??

Social networking is the grouping of individuals into specific groups, like small rural communities or a neighborhood subdivision, if you will. Although social networking is possible in person, especially in the workplace, universities, and high schools, it is most popular online. This is because unlike most high schools, colleges, or workplaces, the internet is filled with millions of individuals who are looking to meet other people, to gather and share first-hand information and experiences about cooking, golfing, gardening,  developing friendships or professional alliances, finding employment, business-to-business marketing and even groups sharing information about the end of the Mayan calendar and the Great Shift to arrive December 21-2012. The topics and interests are as varied and rich as the story of our world.
When it comes to online social networking, websites are commonly used. These websites are known as social sites. Social networking websites function like an online community of internet users. Depending on the website in question, many of these online community members share common interests in hobbies, religion, or politics. Once you are granted access to a social networking website you can begin to socialize. This socialization may include reading the profile pages of other members and possibly even contacting them.
The friends that you can make are just one of the many benefits to social networking online. Another one of those benefits includes diversity because the internet gives individuals from all around the world access to social networking sites. This means that although you are in the United States, you could develop an online friendship with someone in Denmark or India. Not only will you make new friends, but you just might learn a thing or two about new cultures or new languages and learning is always a good thing.
As mentioned, social networking often involves grouping specific individuals or organizations together. While there are a number of social networking websites that focus on particular interests, there are others that do not. The websites without a main focus are often referred to as "traditional" social networking websites and usually have open memberships. This means that anyone can become a member, no matter what their hobbies, beliefs, or views are. However, once you are inside this online community, you can begin to create your own network of friends and eliminate members that do not share common interests or goals.
As I'm sure you're aware, there are dangers associated with social networking including data theft and viruses, which are on the rise. The most prevalent danger though often involves online predators or individuals who claim to be someone that they are not. Although danger does exist with networking online, it also exists in the real world, too. Just like you're advised when meeting strangers at clubs and bars, school, or work -- you are also advised to proceed with caution online.
By being aware of your cyber-surroundings and who you are talking to, you should be able to safely enjoy social networking online. It will take many phone conversations to get to know someone, but you really won't be able to make a clear judgment until you can meet each other in person.  Just use common sense and listen to your inner voice; it will tell you when something doesn't feel right about the online conversations taking place.
Once you are well informed and comfortable with your findings, you can begin your search from hundreds of networking communities to join. This can easily be done by performing a standard internet search. Your search will likely return a number of results, including MySpace, FriendWise, FriendFinder, Yahoo! 360, Facebook, Orkut, and Classmates.

Shaadi................Indian style.

Hindu wedding is thought to be the bringing of two people who are said to be compatible. Hindu wedding ceremonies are traditionally conducted at least partially in sanskrit, the language of most holy hindu ceremonies. The local language of the people involved is also used since most Hindus do not understand Sanskrit. They have many rituals that have evolved since traditional times and differ in many ways from the modern western wedding ceremony and also among the different regions, families, and castes such as Rajput wedding and Iyer wedding. The Hindus attach a lot of importance to marriges, and the ceremonies are very colorful and extend for several days.
In India, where most Hindus live, the laws relating to marriage differ by religion. According to the hindu marrige act of 1955, passed by the Parliment of India, for all legal purposes, all Hindus of any caste, creed or sect, Sikh, Buddhists and Jains are deemed Hindus and can intermarry. By the Special marrige act 1958, a Hindu can marry a person who is not Hindu, employing any ceremony provided specified legal conditions are fulfilled.
The pre-wedding ceremonies include engagements (involving vandana or oral agreement and lagna-patra written declaration), and arrival of the groom's party at the bride's residence, often in the form of a formal procession. The post-wedding ceremonies involve welcoming the bride to her new home.
Despite modern Hinduism being largely based on the puja form of the worship of devas as enshrined in the Puranas, a Hindu wedding ceremony at its core is essentially a Vedic Yagna (a fire-sacrifice), in which the Aryan deities are invoked in the Indo-Aryan style. It has a deep origin in the ancient ceremony of cementing the bonds of friendship/alliance (even among people of the same sex or people of different species in mythological contexts), although today, it only survives in the context of weddings. The primary witness of a Hindu marriage is the fire-deity (or the Sacred Fire) Agni, and by law and tradition, no Hindu marriage is deemed complete unless in the presence of the Sacred Fire, seven encirclements have been made around it by the bride and the groom together

Time And Bandwidth Wastage Wayback In 1999.

He got time to kill and also got an unlimited-usage broadband connection.......Welcome to time and bandwidth wastage.....

Way back in 1999,he was one of the first few Indians to have an unlimited, always on connection. It was only 64 Kbps, nothing to brag about, but at least he didnt have to worry about phone bills !for a thousand rupees a month,he'd managed to break free of the shackles of copper wire, local call charges and his parents moaning about how no one could ever get through to the phone! what's more he actually used to get 64Kbps(8kbps) download speeds which was a lot faster than 16 Kbps(2Kbps) he'd become accostoumed to on dial up.
Because it was 1999 broadband Isp's were still learning and he guess and he soon discovered that his Isp has limited the download speeds but had forgottened to do the same with uploads. The result ? a mear 8Kbps speed for downloads and a whooping 400 Kbps upload speed.
He was somewhat of an IRC (internet relay chat) addict so he was promptly on his favourite network showing off to his friends. There were even people in America who didn't have 400Kbps upload bandwidth back than!
He find himself obessesing about his upload capabilities not wanting to let it go to waste! He also knew that sooner or later some engeenier at his Isp would awake from his slumber and prick his heavenly bubble. As it turned out, this senierio lasted about six months and he uploaded more in those six months that he downloaded  science 1999,he also setup his site on his own computer at FTP server,IRC bots to transfer and share loads of files, and absolutely anything that would use his upload capability.

Our Nation...........INDIA.

The following is a translation of Rabindranath Tagore's rendering of the stanza:
Thou art the ruler of the minds of all people, dispenser of India's destiny. The name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Sind, Gujarat and Maratha,of the Dravid and Orissa and Bengal; it echoes in the hills of the Vindhyas and Himalayas, mingles in the music of the Yamuna and Ganga and is chanted by the waves of the Indian Sea. They pray for thy blessings and sing thy praise. The salvation of all people is in thy hand, thou dispenser of India's destiny.
Victory, victory, victory to thee.

The National Emblem of India is a replica of the Lion of Sarnath, near Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. The Lion Capital was erected in the third century BC by Emperor Ashoka to mark the spot where Buddha first proclaimed his gospel of peace and emancipation to the four quarters of the universe. The National emblem is thus symbolic of contemporary India's reaffirmation of its ancient commitment to world peace and goodwill.

The four lions (one hidden from view) - symbolising power, courage and confidence - rest on a circular abacus. The abacus is girded by four smaller animals - guardians of the four directions: the lion of the north, the elephant of the east, the horse of the south and the bull of the west. The abacus rests on a lotus in full bloom, exemplifying the fountainhead of life and creative inspiration. The motto 'Satyameva Jayate' inscribed below the emblem in Devanagari script means 'truth alone triumphs'.

The Indian flag was designed as a symbol of freedom. The late Prime Minister Nehru called it a flag not only of freedom for ourselves, but a symbol of freedom to all people.
The flag is a horizontal tricolour in equal proportion of deep saffron on the top, white in the middle and dark green at the bottom. The ratio of the width to the length of the flag is two is to three. In the centre of the white band, there is a wheel in navy blue to indicate the Dharma Chakra, the wheel of law in the Sarnath Lion Capital. Its diameter approximates the width of the white band and it has 24 spokes. The saffron stands for courage, sacrifice and the spirit of renunciation; the white, for purity and truth; the green for faith and fertility

Republic...........

Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of Independent India, in his special message to his countrymen, on the birth of the Indian Republic, said:

"We must re-dedicate ourselves on this day to the peaceful but sure realization of the dream that had inspired the Father of our Nation and the other captains and soldiers of our freedom struggle, the dream of establishing a classless, co-operative, free and happy society in 'his country'. We must remember that this is more a day of dedications than of rejoicing - dedication to the glorious task of making the peasants and workers the toilers and the thinkers fully free, happy and cultured."

60 years back, a salute of 21 guns and the unfurling of the Indian National flag by Dr. Rajendra Prasad heralded the historic birth of the Indian Republic on January 26, 1950; 894 days after our country became a dominion following withdrawal of British Rule. Since then, every year the day is celebrated with great pride and happiness all over the nation.
The transition of India from a British colony to a sovereign, secular, and democratic nation was indeed historical. It was a long journey of around two decades that started with the conceptualisation of the dream in 1930 to its actual realization in 1950. A look into the journey that led to the birth of Indian Republic will make our celebrations more meaningful.

Lahore Session of the Indian National Congress

The seeds of a republican nation were sowed at the Lahore session of the Indian National Congress at the midnight of 31st December 1929. The session was held under the presidency of Pt. Jawarhar Lal Nehru. Those present in the meeting took a pledge to mark January 26 as "Independence Day" in order to march towards realizing the dream of complete independence from the British. The Lahore Session paved way to the Civil Disobedience movement. It was decided that January 26, 1930 would be observed as the Purna Swaraj (complete Independence) Day. Many Indian political parties and Indian revolutionaries from all over the country united to observe the day with honour and pride.

Indian Constituent Assembly Meetings

The Indian Constituent Assembly, which was constituted as a result of the negotiations between the Indian leaders and members of the British Cabinet Mission, had its first meeting on December 9, 1946. The Objective of the Assembly was to give India a constitution, which would serve a lasting purpose and hence appointed a number of committees to thoroughly research the various aspects of the proposed constitution. The recommendations were discussed, debated and revised many times before the Indian Constitution was finalized and officially adopted three years later on November 26, 1949.

Constitution came into force

Though India became a free nation on August 15, 1947, it enjoyed the true spirit of Independence on January 26, 1950 when the Constitution of India finally came into force. The Constitution gave the citizens of India the power to govern themselves by choosing their own government. Dr. Rajendra Prasad, took oath as the first President of India at the Durbar Hall in the Government House and this was followed by the Presidential drive along a five-mile route to the Irwin Stadium, where he unfurled the National Flag.
Ever since the historic day, January 26 is celebrated with festivities and patriotic fervor all around the country. The day owes its importance to the constitution of India that was adopted on this day.
With 395 Articles and eight Schedules, the Indian Constitution is the largest written constitution in the world.

Why to Exeggerate ?

why do people show off ,that too in front of the lower strata people ?why ? why ? why ?
May be because the one who is at par to them dosen't entertain them or it dosen't bother him/her.
lot of people have this habbit to exeggerate things and events which glorify them.i know a silly story about exeggeration which follows...

Some years ago next door's dog attacked my little boy so my dog attacked that dog. My dog is five times the size of her dog that is young - fully grown but not a puppy. This happened in my garden - I saw it with my own eyes. I got my little boy inside and shouted the dog off and she obeyed and came inside. Before you know it word has got round that my dog went ballistic and attacked her dog for no reason and she had to spend hundreds of pounds at the vets. She was also telling people not to let their kids come round to my house cos the dog would attack them. I went to school to pick my son up only to be confronted by all her cronies that I had a dangerous dog that should be put down. I put them all straight and put her on the spot. Her dog had no injuries either so where did the vet story come from?

I really can't stand people like this. I wouldn't trust that woman to tell me the time. Thing is she's like this with everybody.

Why do people do this kind of exeggeration of truth?

IMPATIENCE IS THE NEW GENERATION.

Jobs in twenty first century is the most dominating affair for the youngesters .It is the major factor affecting the economy the country .But the maiis what to choose from the platter at the time of campus and the other major factor is wheather we could derive the right amount of satisfaction from it .

Today I got a chance to sit with some of the upcoming techies from a premier institute of country MNIT.They were from different engineering streams like mechinical ,civil,IT etc.And were working for some of the best in their field like Hero Honda. Accenture,L&T etc.But what i found was that no body was satisfied .
The major concerns were sometimes money ,sometimes work culture and sometimes number of working days and prolonged working hours.

What I could conclude was that ,they were all better from their previous generations in terms of energy level, discussing their future in terms of money ,family, social security and so on .I felt as if their roots were intactbut they wanted to fly high ,they knew what they wanted from life and when........................But then IMPATIENCE IS THE NEW GENERATION.

In search of .......Happiness.

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” – Mahatma Gandhi
Matthieu Ricard, molecular biologist turned Buddhist monk, has managed to combine centuries of Buddhist wisdom with modern scientific research to conclude that, "Happiness is not a mere pleasurable feeling, a fleeting emotion, or a mood, but an optimal state of being. It is a way of interpreting the world. While it may be difficult to change the world, it is always possible to change the way we look at it."                                                                                                           You be happy with what you have. Because God is preparing a golden world for you-may be in the secret chamber provided to you in the darkness or light. Accept that you have as God`s proposal. You smile and do your work. Smile require no price. Its free of cost. This free energy can enlighten the whole world.

Can money bring happiness?. If you are obsessed for money, then "Yes.", money can bring happiness to you along with it. Being desperate for money can only bring relief along with it. The answer lies within you. No point in searching an answer beyond you. Let spiritual teachers tell "Money doesn`t bring happiness", let someone tell the other way. The answer lies in your own state and emotions, and varies from man to man. Just ask yourself "Does money bring happiness?."          It is in fact obsession and desperation for money makes one unhappy .
Remember the last time when you felt an immense sense of wellbeing, lightness in your body and spirit. The energy of that life force might have made you shine at work, deeply connect with people, unleash creativity at work, smile at the raging traffic, hum a tune while you waited for the janm to clear, and return home to envelope your family in a cosy blanket of love and caring. And suppose you could learn to cultivate that happiness skill for each day of your life! No, it isn't impossible if you focus on it.There's no surefire way to do it - so you will just have to work on what suits you best. You have to be ready to commit yourself to discover a reservoir of joy within yourself.
For someone happiness can be cooking for her  husband or parents or saying something that makes someone else smile. Happiness is creating a story that will make people feel every range of emotion and make them sigh at the end of it. Happiness is watching a kid blowing bubbles for no other reason than they’re bubbles. That’s just plain awesomeSo, pay it forward today folks. Do something nice for someone else just because. Don’t expect anything in return.

Makar Sankrat.

Makarsankranti ,onam, pongal, makarvelu, beehu……all these festivals are celebrated on 14th January   according to the Puranas, on this day Sun visits the house of his son Shani(saturn) who is the lord of the Makar rashi(Zodiac Capricorn). Though the father and son duo did not get along well, the Surya made it a point to meet his son on this day. He, in fact, comes to his son’s house, for a month. This day thus symbolizes the importance of the special relationship between father and son.

Makar Sankranti is one of the most auspicious days for the Hindus and is celebrated in almost all parts of India in myriad cultural forms, with great devotion. Millions of people take a dip in places like Ganga sagar  the Bay of Bengal and Prayag and pray to the Sun God . It is celebrated with pomp in southern parts of India as Pongal, and in Punjab as Maghi.
Makara Sankranti identifies a period of enlightenment, peace, prosperity and happiness followed by a period of darkness, ignorance and viciousness with immense sorrow. The six months of northern movement of the sun is followed by six months of southern movement.
Since the festival is celebrated in mid winter, food prepared for this festival is such that it keeps the body warm and gives high energy. laddu of til made with Jaggery is a specialty of the festival. In the western Indian state of Maharastra it is called 'Tilgul'. In Karnataka it is called 'Yellu-Bella'.
Although traditionally flying kites is not observed as a part of this festivals, nowadays flying kites can be seen in some cities of Rajasthan. People invite friends and relatives to their home for special festival meals called as "Sakrat Bhoj".Sitolia, a ball game where seven flat stone pieces are kept one on one and are dismentelled with the help of a ball is also played.

kalpana ki udaan.

keep a good company.

Yesterday ,I went to party at one of my family member to his place in the evening. While going there I took the usual road but on returning back a lesser known road was taken by me and so I missed the lane and was lost.
After a lot of roaming in the dark I could find the right path. I realized that we should always take the known path .
Even in life this philosophy works ,we should always follow the path which achievers and successful people have taken .Our parents also inspires us to lead the life the way they have lived it ,seldom do they want their kids to take an unknown path.
The company which we keep is the most important factor in deciding the work done by us in life, that’s why our parents and teachers always keep a vigil on who are our friends and who do we admire. In childhood when we start our journey the teachers and parents cant be with us everywhere so they preach us about good habits and the best way for us .
But mostly ,we don’t understand this and feel as if they are guiding us wrongly so we start misleading them and usually bad company attract us as short term benefits like freaking out ,living lavishly and not doing anything are some of the lucrative things which attracts everyone .But after a  while we come to know that it is unfruitful its too late .we can come back but the guilt is not too big that it can make way for us to return. Same as it happened when I took the wrong road on car and always thought that I am going right.

for a better sunshine

Perhaps it will seem to you that the sunshine is brighter and that everything has a new charm. At least, I believe this is always the result of a deep love, and it is a beautiful thing. And I believe people who think love prevents one from thinking clearly are wrong; for then one thinks very clearly and is more active than before. And love is something eternal--the aspect may change, but not the essence. There is the same difference in a person before and after he is in love as there is in an unlighted lamp and one that is burning. The lamp was there and it was a good lamp, but now it is shedding light too, and that is its real function. And love makes one calmer about many things, and in that way, one is more fit for one's work.love is the only ray of hope for most of enlightened ones.

love thy enemy. some one said  once that i hate to say it, but there's a bit of a breaking in period, during when a guy gets needs a break, to pitch a good work and get good results, and the confidence grows. That's what we're trying to get now, a positive roll. He won a spot in Spring Training, and now he's battling to continue to pitch here.

This ambitious plan not only sets  Resorts apart from its competition, it introduces a sense of humanity through actual members who share their real-life experiences and considerations when it comes to hope and rejuvlence how it will suit their lifestyle.

Its chilled ......... not a beer ..........its the wind.

It’s chilling cold and  I am scared to get out of my bed.
Well to throw  some light on the winters of  north India, climate normally is cold and dry.
But this year due sudden rainfall, condition is severe. The temp is record low as low as -6degree c. in Mt abu to 2.2 degree c. in Jaipur which has not been the case for last some years.

But  the question is who will suffer the most and the answer is the farmer of the state who has already lost his share of profit due to sudden rainfall in November( usually called mawath). And due sky high rates of commodities it ‘s only he who is going to suffer.  All his plans of expansion have tarnished.

But there is a good news for children of the state as the schools have been called off for the first week of January  yippee .
But there is no rescue for the employees of the state . Wake up early and reporting  on time is in there fate .
Frost bites are common and that’s saddest part
Animals and vegetation is worst effected from this chill of nature .Early morning fog with frost has became a regular feature for almost a month which is alarming.

happy new year

New year .....again time for looking back and assesing the work done in the whole year.for some new year brings hope for a better begining, new committments and ofcourse resolutions, whereas people like me get yet another chance to party whole night leaving behind every sorrows and smiles .
well, do we really need a new year eve for dropping our evils and bad habbits and accessing ourself why cant we take resolutions every morning and assess ourself each evening and party after the assesment?

high on gyaan?
for we udaipuriets this year can be special as the begining of the year is with two great events one starting from tommorrow the "international kite festival" from 5th Jan to 7th Jan. followed by "National youth festival" from 12th to 16th jan.
again the gujjar reservation aggitation has been a spoil sport for rajasthan's friendly image all over .tourism is worst effected .though it seem to have taken a back seat the second phase of aggitation which was supposed to start from 3rd jan didnt had that zeel among gujjars as the weather conditions are not favarouble for protesters.

well this year really seems hayzee as harsh ,chilly winter have already taken toll on green fields  ,onion and garlic prices are also spicing up .
on this note make the year great .....happy new year.. again.
