Kya ab Bajaga Raja ka Baja?

As former Telecom Minister A. Raja, his former Personal Secretary R. K. Chandolia and ex-Telecom Secretary Siddhartha Behura were ordered by a Delhi Court on Thursday to remain in CBI custody for the next five days, CBI officials appear set to sharpen their line of questioning to elicit more information on various aspects relating to alleged irregularities and violation of guidelines in the grant of licenses and allocation of 2G spectrum during 2008.

The CBI has so far questioned the accused persons, asking them why allotment of licenses was done in a hasty and improper manner. The CBI would need to establish that procedural guidelines were violated by the accused who abused their official position in award of licenses during 2008.

The scandal has caused outrage and damaged the government's reputation.Auditors estimate the mis-selling of the licences cost the exchequer nearly $40bn (£24.5bn) in lost revenue. He was forced to quit in November after it emerged that 2G spectrum licences had been sold for a fraction of their valueCertain companies were favoured. The scandal has been front-page news in India for months.Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is under pressure to explain why he did not act sooner in the case. The Prime Minister maintained even late last year that Raja did nothing wrong, he did what his predecessor did. (Kapil) Sibal maintained a fortnight ago that Raja had caused no loss to the exchequer,
The action against Raja and his aids is said to be too little and too late by the government which is a pitty .He and his associates got lot of time to manipulate the facts .The arrest is too little too late. It is very unfair to say that Raja alone had gulped Rs 1.76 lakh crore. Who are the rest of the people the country categorically wants to know that. The last but least question which arrises in public mind is weather CBI behave in favour of country or in favour of ruling party?
