Happy Valentine Day

दोस्तों जब मे छोटा बच्चा था तब विद्यालय मे कई सारी कन्याओं के साथ बैठ कर पढता ,खेलता व् खाना खाता था | फिर थोडा बड़ा हुआ तो मास्टरनी जी ने लडको व् लडकियों को अलग अलग बिठा दिया |पढाई चलती रही ,कुछ और बढ़ने पर माता पिता ने सिर्फ लडको वाले विद्यालय में प्रवेश दिलवा दिया |तभी से मुझे आज के दिन को मानाने की ज़रुरत महसूस करवाई गई |
आज का दिन हर वो इंसान मनाता है जो प्रेम करना चाहता है
१४ फरवरी,के बारे में इक किवदंती है की      संत वलेंतिने जो रोम में तीसरी शताब्दी में हुए थे |उस समय रोम में क्रूर क्लौदिऔस का एक छत्र राज था |सनकी क्लौदिऔस का मानना था की यदि पुरुष शादीशुदा ना हो तो वो अच्छा योद्धा /सिपाही बन सकता है | अतः उसने लडको को शादी नहीं करने का कानून निकाल दिया |परन्तु संत वलेंतिने  फिर भी युवको को शादी के पवित्र बंधन में बांधते रहे और सम्राट के इस फैसले की खिलाफत करते रहे |जब सम्राट को संत की नाफ़रमानी का पता चला तो संत को जान से हाथ धोना पड़ा |तभी से यह त्यौहार प्रेमी युगलों द्वारा मनाया जाता है |
भारत में यह त्यौहार इक नया प्रचलन है |कई लोग इसे पश्चिम की नक़ल के रूप में देखते है वाही कई अंग्रज़ो का अनुसरण मानते है |कुछ भी हो प्रेम कोई देश सीमा जात पात नहीं मानता ,अतः प्रेमियों को यह त्यौहार जरूर और डट कर मानना चहिये|जो लोग इस दिन हुर्दंग करते है वे सिर्फ अपने प्रेम ना कर पाने की खीज निकालते है |

DESERT FESTIVAL....16 feb 2011 to 18 feb 2011

If you thought Bikaner's camel festival was the ultimate in exotic Indian festivals, wait till you see the fiesta at Jaisalmer. A three-day long extravaganza of dances, music, handicraft fairs and interesting competitions- including really unusual ones like a 'Mr Desert' pageant, a 'turban-tying' contest and a 'best moustache' contest- the Jaisalmer Desert Festival is organised by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation. It’s a fantastic showcase of all things Rajasthani, and is justifiably popular with tourists, both Indian and foreign. Besides the food, the music and the cultural performances, there are camel rides, processions, camel polo, and even a camel tug-of-war. All of it is held against the backdrop of the awesome Jaisalmer fort. Fireworks displays at night light up the area, and the fort is illuminated too.

The fairs and festivals reflect the multifacets of the rich Rajasthani culture. The major festivals celebrates are Holi, Dussehra, Ram Navami, Diwali, Gangaur, Teej and Basant Panchami, Muharram and the two Eids.
